Your Sound, My Passion
Bagpiping since 2001…
When I attended my first Scottish Games in Charleston, SC I fell in love with bagpipe music and knew immediately that I wanted to learn that “weird but cool” instrument I saw being played. I remember thinking to myself “This is way more interesting than piano!”
After taking on brief violin and piano lessons my parents supported my desire to learn the Great Highland Bagpipes. I started lessons in Greenville, SC at the age of 11. My first performance with the Upstate United Pipe Band was on the field at a Clemson University football game halftime show. Through middle and high school, I continued lessons, played with various pipe bands, and for several years attended the NAAPD (North American Academy of Piping and Drumming) in Valle Crucis, NC; taking lessons from exceptional players such as Sandy Jones, Ed Neigh, and Jim Dillahey.
Performing since the age of 12, I’ve been blessed to play at numerous large public events including the Coca Cola 600, NCAA football and basketball games, and for hospitality houses at the Masters Golf Tournament.
